This course is designed to help establish best practices and shooter-interface for women who plan to carry a concealed firearm. No experience is necessary but a concealed firearms license is recommended. This is a basic course but all skill levels are welcome as this is the basis for solid shooter performance. COURSE CONTENTS: Positional carry and deployment of the firearm in practical defensive scenarios. Through a combination of dry practice and live-fire exercises, students will reinforce: safe handling, shooter orientation to target, threat engagement and follow-through to post shooting analysis. GEAR: Self defense pistol, 3 double stack (5 single-stack) magazines, mag case, safe carry solution for pistol. Please no shoulder holsters or Serpa holsters. 200 rounds of ammunition, hearing and eye protection. All items can be rented for an additional fee. Devon Erdenberger has been a police officer for the 14th largest city in the U.S. For over a decade, Devon has served as a patrol officer, as well as an oral board evaluator for new police candidates. Devon is currently a basic training and requalification firearms instructor. She has traveled the country to train with elite instructors in the firearms and use-of-force industries. Devon recently began a career in the dignitary protection field, traveling domestically as well as conducting operations in more than 5 countries. Devon’s background and experience add a unique insight to firearms instruction.
