Long Range Hunter

The STG Long Range Hunter course is designed specifically for hunters and those wanting to learn more about long range shooting. The 2 Day course will cover ammo & caliber selection, firearms data collection, rifle & equipment maintenance, shooting positions, and range fire out to 700 yards. If you would like to improve your rifle skills and be more prepared for hunting season, please join us at Wild Acres located in western Pennsylvania.

Additional Instructors: Chad Williams: Chad is a former member of US Army Special Forces with over 18 years of sniper and sniper instructor experience. He is a graduate of the Special Forces Sniper Course (SOTIC) as well as several law enforcement courses. Chad is an avid big game hunter with experience throughout the lower 48, Alaska, and Africa. Tim Halbakken: Tim is a firearms instructor who served as a sniper and sniper instructor on his police department’s full-time SWAT Team. Tim is an avid whitetail deer and elk hunter with experience throughout the upper Mid-West and Rocky Mountain States, as well as South Africa and Botswana.

Instructor: Kevin Wheeler

Kevin is a proud member of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1985 to 1991 and a veteran of Desert Storm. After the Marine Corps, Kevin began his career with a midwest capital city police department where he served with distinction until his retirement in 2019. During his employment with the police department, Kevin served as a high risk narcotics entry team member, SWAT team member and SWAT sniper. He brings experience gained through thousands of dynamic entries and barricades. Kevin is also a State of Ohio certified firearms instructor in all law enforcement weapons platforms. In addition to his significant tactical experience, Kevin brings the unique skill of being a licensed pilot of both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.
